Your air conditioner has put in a lot of work this summer and we still have more hot weather to go. Just because the date on the calendar has changed over to fall doesn’t mean you’re done with your AC for the season. Staying on top of annual AC maintenance, while also following a couple other tips, can help you maintain your air conditioner while keeping your home comfortable too.
Clean Around Your Outdoor Unit
Debris can build up around your outside unit, specifically during the fall. When it comes time to rake up the leaves in your yard, at least rake up the leaves and debris around your air conditioner. Debris can impact air flow, causing your system to work harder and wear down sooner. We want your air conditioner to last as long as possible.
Raise the Temperature on Your Thermostat
Have your thermostat set at the highest temperature you can while still remaining cozy. Whenever possible, use additional cooling methods such as fans. The lower you set your
thermostat, the harder your system will have to work to attain that temperature. You may think shutting off your unit completely will save on energy and help your system, but that makes more work for it to make up when you switch it back on. It will have to work harder for a longer amount of time, which is another thing that could lead to untimely system failure.
Keep Up With AC Maintenance

AC maintenance is so critical. Our technicians will look at your air conditioner thoroughly and make sure the electric is working as it should, the coils and filters are clean and so much more. We take an in-depth look to catch smaller problems before they become big breakdowns and turn in to an
